Meet Tupat.
He is a rising star in the food industry and founder of Tupat's Hawaiian, which produces authentic sauces and seasonings. Tupat is also an entrepreneur, pro surfer, photographer, golfer, husband, and proud father. Those are his titles and roles, but a better description of Tupat is the kind of person he is. When you encounter Tupat, you won't easily forget him. Since I knew Zig Ziglar, I would best describe Tupat as a young Zig of today. Others describe him as "The most interesting man in surfing" and "a man who does it all". One said, "Tupat has heaps of style and never holds back." All would agree that he is a person "stoked" (his word) about living life, achieving the wildest dreams, and intent on motivating you to come along with him.
His real name is Patrick Eischstaedt. "Tupat" is his nickname. It's a nickname that stuck with him when the co-founder of Lost Enterprises, a global surfing company told Patrick that since he was always listening to the music of rapper, Tupac Shakur, he would just start calling him "Tupat."
Tupat says surfers always listen to music that gets them pumped before they paddle out, and he just happened to get turned on to the sound of Tupac's tunes that made him excited to surf.
Growing Up
When growing up Tupat's mother was a flight attendant, and his father was a professional golfer. This meant a lot of travel and encouragement from his parents to learn the different cultures from their travel.
As a family, they did a lot of surfing and fishing in addition to travel. But out of high school, there was an expectation that the next step of Tupat's life journey would include college. Tupat tried college but his love of surfing and previous trips to Hawaii made it easy for him to choose Hawaii and surfing over college.
Tupat moved to Hawaii and there he met the right people which was that start of a new career filming surfing and before long taking pictures for a surf magazine.
The whole time he was doing this he was having fun and embracing the Hawaiian culture. He was learning about the people and their food.
It was at this point that he realized that he wanted to share what he was learning and experiencing with the rest of the world. When they had lived in Florida, they were accustomed to eating "fried this and fried that". After living in Hawaii, Tupat became accustomed to eating neat foods that were more than just cheeseburgers and hot dogs.
Tupat said when he returned to Florida for visits he would make poke dishes and skewers for his friends and family. The comments he received were always, "You should open a restaurant." Tupat said at the time he was content with what he was doing and enjoying life.
Shark Tank
In 2013, his childhood friend and business partner, Trey Peterson (former football player in college with the Tennessee Volunteers) called him on the phone and asked if he had ever watched Shark Tank. Tupat said he did, and Trey began to tell him about the previous night's episode with Lakey Peterson, an American surfer ranked #3 in the world. He said Lakey had a workout program that Shark Tank was funding. Trey began enthusiastically telling Tupat about an idea he had for the two of them.
Tupat was hearing Trey but in his mind, he had a different idea of why they should meet. Tupat wanted to get Trey to his store to get him to taste some of the dishes he was making and consider investing in his idea.
When Trey arrived, Tupat said, "Try this and see what you think." Trey tasted the food and said, "Oh my God, this is unbelievable! This food tastes so good!"
The start of a new venture and a new story
This was the beginning of a new adventure for Tupat and Trey, called Tupat's Hawaiian. They have a great product that is going to change the way people eat. It's a product with a new tasty flavor -- and a very compelling story behind it.
Aligning the stars
Soon word was spreading, and food industry leaders were lining up for Tupat's Hawaiian sauces and seasonings. One industry leader told Tupat that he needed to meet with the folks at Salmon Brokers. He said they have a compelling brand story as well and are intent on changing the way people eat by helping them "Discover The Burger Revolution."
Salmon Brokers is known for their healthy and nutritious burgers with an "out of this world taste" and a variety of flavors including the Aloha Salmon Burger seasoned with none other than Tupat's Hawaiian seasonings.
When Tupat first tasted his seasonings in the salmon burgers prepared by Salmon Brokers, his reaction was similar to Trey. He said, "I catch my own fish, I have been catching fish since I was three years old, and I was blown away by the taste and the quality of the Aloha Salmon Burger! The color of the burger is beautiful! The flavor is beautiful!"

It's a lifestyle
Now Tupat and Salmon Brokers are taking a lifestyle of separate journeys over many years and are putting them into flavors with the intent of making a difference that changes the world.
Tupat says, "This lifetime of living is an opportunity. We can't predict the future; we have to live today. What you put into your dreams, your ambition, your perseverance, your patience, your relationships with people --- this is the formula for success."
Tupat's Hawaiian authentic sauces and seasonings are the results of living out his formula for success. The flavors will leave your mouth watering for more but according to Tupat, it's more than that -- it's a lifestyle you will hear more about as Tupat's and Salmon Brokers combine their creativity and efforts to create more wonderful flavors.
